Cultural transfer and the sociology of translation

Abstract The sociology of translation has opened up a broad field research in recent years. Nevertheless, the autonomy this line been relativized since ‘sociological turn’ was preceded by ‘cultural studies (TS). Consequently, focus should be on interaction between and culture when analyzing sociological aspects TS. Therefore, article, concept cultural transfer is used as processual basis for study literary tandem with way target influences subjects it to its own ideas. This allows interpreting all activity regulated various actors from perspective receiving culture. Focusing reception Dutch Belgian literatures Germany, presented approach offers innovations while also acknowledging methodological challenges.
